Weedmar Super belongs to the phenoxycarboxylic group of herbicides & contains the active ingredient 2,4-D Dimethyl Amine Salt 58% in Soluble Liquid formulation. It is a selective, systemic and post-emergence herbicide used to control annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds in a range of crops.

Features & Benefits

Weedmar Super is absorbed by the leaves and roots, and translocated into the weed plants.Weedmar Super works by causing uncontrolled cell division in vascular tissue.Abnormal increases in cell wall plasticity, biosynthesis of protein and production of ethylene occur in plant tissue following exposure — these processes are responsible for the uncontrolled cell division.

Mode of Action

Weedmar Super, a phenoxycarboxylic (synthetic auxin) herbicide, is absorbed through leaves and roots and translocated systemically through the weed plant. It mimics natural plant hormones, triggering abnormal increases in cell wall plasticity, protein biosynthesis and ethylene production in vascular tissue. This disrupts normal growth regulation, causing uncontrolled cell division that ultimately kills broad-leaved weeds.
