Kirari, the Downy Mildew expert, effectively regulates various lifestages of Oomycetes fungi through aspecial mode of action. Built onJapanese technology, it delivers bothprophylactic and curative action.Kirari swiftly penetrates the waxylayer of leaves, making it unaffectedby rain soon after application. It issafe for bees, carries a blue triangleclassification, and is alreadyregistered in several countriesincluding the EU, Japan, USA, Australiaand Canada — now available in India.
Features & Benefits
Kirari is a contact fungicide with some penetration activity and rain fastness.
Kirari has excellent preventive action, as its mode of action does not permit spores to germinate.
Kirari also acts as an antisporulant, controlling sporulation of fungus on new lesions.
Kirari has protective & limited curative action.
No phytotoxicity observed on most crops at the recommended dose.
Mode of Action
Kirari inhibits fungal respiration by binding to the QI (Quinone Inhibitor) centre site on cytochrome, cutting off energy production within the pathogen. This disrupts multiple life stages of Oomycetes fungi at once — blocking spore germination for strong preventive control, and suppressing sporulation on new lesions to limit further spread. Its rapid penetration into the leaf's waxy cuticle locks it in place quickly, giving reliable rain fastness even under humid, disease-prone conditions.
