Bayer Sunrice Herbicide is a selective post-emergence herbicide containing Ethoxysulfuron 15% WDG, specially developed for effective control of sedges and broad-leaved weeds in transplanted rice. It belongs to the sulfonyl urea group of herbicides and provides excellent weed management at very low doses. Sunrice is highly effective against difficult-to-control weeds such as Monochoria and Scirpus, helping rice crops grow without weed competition.

Ethoxysulfuron is absorbed mainly through the leaves and translocated throughout the plant. It inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), preventing essential amino acid synthesis. Weed growth stops immediately, chlorotic symptoms appear, and complete weed death occurs within 3–4 weeks after application.
